The majestic Bhutan

The 09-day Majestic Bhutan tour is the perfect way to explore this beautiful country. You will begin your trip in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. From there, you will visit the Punakha Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in Bhutan. The valley is home to various flora and fauna, and you will have the opportunity to see some rare animals that call this place home. After spending some time in Punakha Valley, you will make your way to Bumthang – home to several temples and monasteries. Be sure to spend some time in Phobjikha Valley, a stunning natural preserve.
Your journey begins today with arrival at Paro airport. We’ll take you to Thimphu from Paro, a one-hour drive. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to absorb some of Bhutan’s stunning scenery. In the afternoon, we will visit The National Memorial Chorten and The Golden Buddha Dordenma. Overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.
On the second day of our trip, we’ll take a leisurely hike through picturesque forests near Thimphu. After the walk, we will visit the Motithang Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal, The Bhutanese Takins. Night at leisure in Thimphu.
This day is probably the busiest, as we leave for Punakha early in the morning. We’ll go to the Dochula Pass, where you will witness the architectural marvel of 108 stone stupas standing tall on a circular hill. Evening at leisure. Night stay in Punakha.
Today we will explore the monasteries and villages of Punakha. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.
We will take an early morning car ride to Bumthang, and on the way there, we will stop at Trongsa Dzong—the largest fortress in Bhutan. We’ll visit Kurjey Lhakhang, a sacred Buddhist monument, in the evening. Overnight stay in Bumthang.
We start with a short journey to Kurjey Lhakhang, a holy Buddhist site. In the afternoon, we will head to the Jambay Lhakhang, just a few minutes away, which is one of 108 temples said to have been built back in 659. Evening at leisure.
On this day, we’ll travel to Phobjikha Valley – a gorgeous glacial valley with stunning views. There, we will visit Gangteng Monastery. The rest of the evening is free to do as you please.
We start our journey back to Paro in the morning, and in the afternoon, we visit the Paro museum and Paro fortress. Evening at leisure in Paro hotel.
On the last day of our trip, we will tour the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan’s most famous monument. The monastery derives its name from a legend in which the Guru Rinpoche flew on the back of a tigress to reach the caves. Overnight stay in Paro.
We bid goodbye to Bhutan and look forward to returning soon to the happiness capital of the world.
