Your journey begins today with arrival at Paro airport. We’ll take you to Thimphu from Paro, a one-hour drive. During our journey, we will stop by the Simtokha village and pay a visit to the King’s Memorial at sunset. Evening at leisure.
You will have the morning and afternoon free to do as you please. You can explore the city and visit the Tashichho Dzong (Thimpu Dzong), a popular tourist spot.
We start our day by driving to Punakha early in the morning, over the Dochula Pass. We’ll stop by the Chimi Lhakhang temple on the way. At leisure during the evening. Night stay in Punakha.
Today we will explore the monasteries and villages of Punakha. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.
In the morning, we’ll go to the Punakha Dzong, which is built on the banks of the Mo and Pho Rivers. And in the afternoon we travel back to Paro by road, which takes around five hours. Evening at leisure.
The Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, is our first stop in the morning. We will spend our afternoon and evening at Cheli La, one of the highest passes in the region. Overnight stay in Paro hotel.
If your morning flight to Kathmandu is early enough, you’ll have some time to explore the local markets and religious sites of Kathmandu before proceeding with your plans. Take rest as it’ll be the last night of your trip.
